Ingredients:
100 grams Margarine

100 grams self raising flour
1 cup milk
1 tin Creamed Sweetcorn
5ml  salt

Method:
- Cream Marg and eggs. mix well
- Fold in Self Raising Flour and salt
- Mix milk & creamed corn and add to flour / egg mixture.
- Bake for +- 45 mins at 180'C

Serves up to 8 people as a side dish

  1. I'd have to look up the recipe but this sounds similar to one that I make called Corn Souffle. I usually make it around holidays but actually the grandkids love it so I should make it again soon! :)

Thanks for the delicious reminder! :)

  2. This post reminded me of my favorite country meal when I was a child, Pinto Beans, Corn bread, and fried potatoes. Of course now that I am in my 50's I'll have to tweak the recipes a bit and make them healthier, but just as tasty. Now I think I am going to make that meal this week, and use your recipe for the cornbread. Thanks for sharing the recipe and inspiring my next meal!
